The Infinix Zero 5 is Infinix Mobility’s latest flagship device for 2017 and It is the successor to the Zero 4 of 2016. The Zero 5 was launched in Dubai today (the 14th of November) and is expected to be available for purchase thereafter.
The Infinix Zero 5 offers mouth watering specs and professional-level photography with its dual cameras setup, smooth multi-tasking with 6GB of RAM, more storage with 128GB inbuilt and a long lasting 4350mAh battery.
The Infinix Zero 5 features a 5.98-inch IPS display with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) pixel resolution. The display is protected by a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Zero 5 features a metal unibody design and comes with rounded edges and a slightly curved rear. The Zero 5 doesn't have capacitive buttons like it's predecessor, the Infinix Zero 4 but instead it has on-screen buttons for navigation.
At the top bezels of the Zero 5 houses the front facing selfie camera, LED Flash, proximity and ambient light sensor. At the bottom of the phone houses the speaker grills, microphone, micro-USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.
On the left side of the Infinix Zero 5 has a microSD card slot and a dual micro-SIM slot on its right side above the volume buttons and power button and at the rear, it features a fingerprint sensor.
When it comes to design, the Infinix Zero 5 isn't just there but with its powerful hardware, the Infinix Zero 5 is sure to compete with flagship smartphones of 2017.
The Infinix Zero 5 comes with a MediaTek Helio P25 processor lying under the hood. The Helio P25 is an Octa core processor which runs at 2.4Ghz and features a Mali T880 MP2 GPU.
The Zero 5 smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM which should be appropriate for efficient multitasking. It also has 128GB of default memory which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
Dual micro-SIM slots on the phone allow you to access 4G LTE networks, and fast wireless connections are handled by Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2.
The Infinix Zero 5 has a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary camera and 13MP secondary camera. This is the first time a dual camera setup appears on any Infinix smartphone. The inclusion of a dual camera setup allows the user to capture images in a professional-like manner with additives like the Bokeh effect ( found on DSLRs), background blur and depth of field.
At the front of the device lies a 16MP camera which allows more light in for taking amazing and stunning selfies and videos.

On the software side, the Infinix Zero 5 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with a new version of Infinix’s custom UI (XOS 3.0). There has not been any official word regarding the Zero 5 getting Oreo, but we hope for the best.

The Infinix Zero 5 packs a 4350mAh battery with flash charging support that should last almost a full day on heavy usage (this may not be accurate as we have to wait for further reviews).
The Infinix Zero 5 smartphone was launched today on the 14th of November at an event in Dubai , and is expected to hit the Nigerian market in the coming weeks. There’s no official word on how much it will cost and we are awaiting the full details from Infinix Mobility.
